Bylaws are local laws that apply in certain areas. Bylaws made by Territorial Authorities, such as this Council, apply within the District, and Bylaws made by a Regional Council, apply within a Region.
Bylaws are used to regulate certain activities at a local level. This means that Councils are able to respond to local issues, problems or concerns, in a flexible way.
