Each year since 2020, St Columba’s Presbyterian Church Havelock North, has organised Carols on the Village Green — a much-loved, non-religious community event with a Christmas spirit.
The celebration includes Santa, Christmas gifts for children, a free sausage sizzle, and generous support from local sponsors such as New World Havelock North, Pure Catering, Place Makers, Speedy Signs, Terry Longley & Son, and the Hastings District Council. The event draws around 500 local residents each year.
This year’s musical programme will feature performances by the Men in Black jazz group, the Bay Cities’ Symphonic Band, opera singer Dianne Abraham, and Hawke’s Bay piper Kieran Chisnall and a choir and ukulele group from Havelock North Primary School.
