Carnival in the Park

Bring the whānau out to Albert Square for Carnival in the Park, a day of free fun in the sunshine, featuring the bass heavy stylings of Heretaunga Dub Club and Machine Wreckers’ ambient post-psychedelic instrumentals.

Taste the flavour of sound system culture with Heretaunga Dub Club - a vinyl only Roots, Reggae, Dub session on the full Bada Bing Sound System rig! The legendary Akina Vinyl Appreciation Society come together with select friends and whānau for a laid back afternoon's entertainment.

Let Machine Wreckers take you on a unique journey through the sounds of nature. Original instrumental compositions with mesmerising rhythms feel organic, creating a sonic palette that is at once familiar and utterly new. It’s a conversation. A cacophony. A meditation. A communion. A catharsis.
