Join us for an unforgettable evening as we farewell one of Aotearoa’s brightest young opera stars, Emmanuel Fonoti-Fuimaono, before he takes the world stage.
Born and bred in Flaxmere and Hawke’s Bay, Emmanuel has been accepted into not one but two of the most prestigious international opera programs: the Merola Opera Program in San Francisco and the Jette Parker Artists Programme at London’s Royal Opera House. Before he heads off, Emmanuel returns home to share a one-night-only celebration of the music, giving thanks to the community that helped shape the artist he is today.
Emmanuel will be joined on stage by his incredible brothers — Alfred, Faamanu, and Jordan Fonoti-Fuimaono — and his fiancée, Katherine Winitana; all proud local opera singers who will perform together alongside beloved pianist and longtime collaborator Francis Cowan, making this a truly special family affair.
Expect an evening of soaring arias, heartfelt songs, and stories that honour the roots, relationships, and hometown pride that have lifted these remarkable artists.
This concert is both a celebration and a chance to support Emmanuel on his next chapter as he prepares to represent Hawke’s Bay and Aotearoa internationally. Come experience the voices that blossomed here — and help send Emmanuel off in style.
