Christmas Parade on Saturday

Christmas Parade Web Banner Parade Article

The community countdown is on for this Saturday’s Christmas Parade.

With float registrations still rolling in, the fun-filled day promises to be a great whānau festive experience.

This year’s theme is ‘Everyone Santa’, will see a wave of Santa and Mrs Claus costumes along with lots of sparkling lights and decorations.

Due to recent wet weather, event locations have been tweaked, with the riverbank reserve no longer available. Floats should now meet outside the Wairoa County Club at 1pm for judging at 1.30pm. The main street parade will begin at 2pm followed by prizegiving, stalls and a family concert on the Library Green rather than the Lighthouse reserve.

It’s not too late to register your interest to join in the fun. For registration forms and parade rules email or phone 027 274 1548.
