Hastings Meatball Festival 2026

Hastings Meatball Festival 2026

Ready to roll?

The Hastings Meatball Festival is back!

And it’s a whole new ballgame this year because we're getting saucier, spicier, crumbed and creative. Local bakers, butchers, chefs and cooks will serve up their best bites, keen to win your heart, your stomach, and your One NZ People’s Choice vote.

Expect live music, cheeky drink pop-ups, lawn games and a buzzing whānau-friendly vibe in the centre of Hastings. The energy will be cranked all evening by HUSH HUSH — Hawke’s Bay’s premier show band — alongside local legend Fraser Mack and funky crowd-favourite DJ Lil B.

This year, the competition is fiery and fierce with Auckland rolling in HOT! Ben Bayly (Ahi restaurant and the NZ Food Story TV show), Michael Dearth (Baduzzi) and Glen File (Executive Chef for the Josh Emett restaurants), will meat our hometown heroes in a remarkaball battle of taste, texture and tenacity.

Come hungry, leave unballievably satisfied. Don't drop the ball - get your ticket now.

In-person ticket purchases can be made at Hastings or Havelock North isite Visitor Information Centres.
