Jingle bells will meet jukebox hits as Wairoa gears up for a Christmas celebration like no other.
The Wairoa Christmas Parade and Market are tuning up for a spectacular ‘Music Through the Decades’ celebration, where vintage beats, local flair, and plenty of festive cheer will set the main street alive.
Scheduled for Saturday, December 13, this year's theme celebrates all music and how it has evolved over the years, from Frank Sinatra to The Monkees, Robbie Williams to Taylor Swift, and beyond.
The community fun day will see a main street market, showcasing local wares and food stalls, from 9am, followed by the Christmas Parade at 2pm.
Wairoa District Council Chief Executive Matt Lawson said he has always been impressed with how the Wairoa community steps up to take part in community events and he expects the Christmas market day and parade will be no different. “It will be great to see stallholders offering a range of products and also the high participation in the parade, from the community, businesses, schools and other organisations. Thanks for your involvement, and we look forward to seeing you on the main street this year.”
To register for the float parade or market stall space, please head to Council’s website, Wairoa Christmas Celebration 2025 | Wairoa District Council
This year’s Christmas Parade and Market promise a toe-tapping, hip-shaking celebration that will have the whole town humming along - get planning now.
