Kura Tātai is a one-day immersive wānanga for those ready to explore, record, and preserve their whakapapa. Whether starting out or deepening your knowledge, this workshop offers practical tools to uncover your ancestral stories and strengthen your identity.
Learn from Dr. Jeremy Tātere MacLeod, a kaikōrero and expert in Māori language and whakapapa. He shares practical techniques and insights to support your research journey, and provide you with skills to:
- Engage with kaumātua: build meaningful kōrero and connections.
- Access historical records: learn how to find and interpret key sources.
- Structure your whakapapa: using both oral and archival information.
- Practical strategies: for storing, sharing and preserving your findings.
- Cultural depth: strengthen your connection to identity and heritage.
