Hastings District Council, in partnership with the Hastings City Business Association, invites you to Focus on Business to hear from Brooke Roberts, Co-founder and 3EO (co-CEO) of Sharesies.
Brooke is passionate about creating equal opportunities and business being a force for good—ensuring Sharesies has a positive impact on people, customers, communities, and the environment. At Sharesies, their vision is to be at the heart of wealth for every person, every family and every business.
Join us for this special Focus on Business event as Brooke shares lessons from scaling one of New Zealand’s most impactful Fintechs (Financial Technology), reflecting on what worked, the lessons learnt, and how to maintain purpose through growth. Brooke will offer insights from her experience building Sharesies and making investing more accessible to everyday people.
Brooke will also explore a broader challenge facing organisations today—how to move beyond access to true participation. Drawing on her experience, she will discuss the role employers can play in enabling ownership and engagement, including through initiatives such as employee share schemes.
This is an opportunity to hear practical insights from a leader focused on building more inclusive, high-performing organisations while maintaining long-term value and impact.
