A short, sharp dose of live music and wine to ease you into the weekend. Friday nights at 5:30pm, we host intimate sessions in the wine shop — one artist, one set, done in under an hour. Come for a tasting, stay for the tunes, then head out for dinner or drift into the evening, no rush.
Glenn and kjelsty play traditional and original music from the Appalachian mountains to Sweden to Ireland. They play dance music that will get the foot tapping and mix in beautiful aires and songs that will touch the heart. They have completed tours in Sweden, Scotland and the USA and love to go and play folk and traditional folk festivals in Aotearoa. They love to share stories and songs from musicians from across the world.
Glenn plays fingerstyle guitar and used to compete in Fleadh Cheols in Ireland. He was a featured performer at several irish festivals on the east coast. He now plays irish flute and likes to dabble in music from Brittany to Sweden. Kjelsty is a percussionist who plays the irish drum (bodhran) and is an expert in mask peformances. They have a CD and DVD of their music and is on Spotify with their live performance called "Whimzik, the polska dot tour'.
