Manioro Opening Night

Mālō e lelei, Talofa lava, Kia orana, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Mālō ni, Tēnā koutou katoa,Nevertheless is proud to present Manioro 2026.
You are invited to join us at the beginning of our Manioro journey.

Our Opening Night is an opportunity to gather ourselves and connect with each other in a meaningful way.

Manioro will begin with a Pōwhiri so we encourage everyone to arrive on time. Doors will open to the Cushing Foyer at 6pm with the official Pōwhiri at 6:30pm. From there, we will move into a shared experience of storytelling, expression and connection.

You can expect to be uplifted and inspired by local performances including live music, cultural performances and a spectacular fashion show highlighting local Māori, Pasifika & Rainbow+ talents. Light Refreshments will be made available.

This is a free event, open to all. Spaces are limited, so registration is essential.

Manioro is delivered by Nevertheless Trust. Nevertheless is a Māori, Pasifika & Rainbow+ Mental Health charity based in Hawkes Bay. Our vision is to empower people to be free to be heard, free to be seen and free to be their authentic selves. Our mission is - MANIORO: to disrupt toxic narratives and stereotypes surrounding our communities through Education, Storytelling and Creative Arts. We disrupt shame with love and stigma with connection. You can learn more about what we do through our website www.neverthelessnz.com
