Te Tiriti Conversations with TeHuia Bill


Location: Te Pātaka Kōrero o Karanema | Havelock North Library
Time: 1 - 2.30pm
TeHuia Bill Hamilton is running three sessions about Te Tiriti aimed at those wanting to have a better understanding of it.
The sessions are designed to be a conversation around tables.

Session 1 Thu 3 Sept: Te Tiriti belongs to all of us
Session 2 Thu 10 Sept: Te Tiriti in the founding document of our state
Session 3 Thu 17 Sept: Te Tiriti is a promise of two peoples to take the best possible care of each other

Over the past 20 years, TeHuia has held a range of senior management and governance roles, all with a focus on Maori development, Maori engagement, the Treaty and human rights. These include roles with the Human Rights Commission, Te Puni Kokiri and NZEI: TeRiuRoa.

All Welcome | Registration required for each session. Please register through the libraries website.
