Suitable for ages 10-15
Welcome to The Inklings – the after-school writing club for ages 10-15 where your imagination is let loose, ideas get loud and stories come to life. It’s totally free, super chill, and made especially for young writers. The club is a collaboration between Hastings District Libraries and Jo Morris (aka The Write Coach).
We meet during terms three and four. The whole vibe is simple: have fun, try new things, and find others who love writing just as much as you do.
What Happens at The Inklings
Sessions are held on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month (during term time) at Havelock North Library from 3:20pm-4:40pm.
We’ll kick things off with a snack-and-chill break so everyone can unwind before diving into our adventures.
In term three, we’ll jump into world building and character creation, trying out all sorts of genres and writing styles.
In term four, it’s a YOU CHOOSE adventure.
