Come and meet Hawkes Bay author Mary-Anne Scott. She has published seven books in the Young Adult genre, several of them award-winners. Snakes and Ladders, Coming Home to Roost, and The Mess of Our Lives and just some of her titles - intriguing and engrossing, and enjoyed by teenagers and their parents and teachers for the amazingly realistic lives and situations created within their pages. All sorts of issues and problems common to young people and their families are explored in a way which is totally believable. Mary-Anne will tell us about her early life, career and family, and how she became a writer. Do come, and bring a friend! Enjoy a cuppa, and ask lots of questions. Entry donation of just $5 will help support the wonderful work of the Heretaunga Women's Centre.
