Born in Wairoa, Northern Hawke's Bay, with most of his life spent in Napier-Hastings, Mark S. Simpson has always been doing artwork, from murals to illustration work. Now mainly oil painting and small sculpture are his focus.
Mark exhibited in NZ Academy of Fine Arts in early years, and has artworks overseas along with NZ private collectors. He has had a published artwork in the February 2021 North & South magazine 'Happy Blues', and was a selected finalist in the Fieldays No.8 Wire Sculpture Award 2021.
