Rugged Raukawa Trail Walk, Run & Mountain Bike

Get ready to lace up your running shoes, dust off your mountain bike or gather your walking
buddies!

The popular Rugged Raukawa community adventure event is back on Saturday 31
October 2026, promising another fantastic day of outdoor adventure, spectacular scenery and
community spirit.

Now in its third year, Rugged Raukawa is held on the beautiful Mason Ridge farm in Raukawa,
approximately 20 minutes from Hastings. The event offers participants a rare opportunity to
explore scenic private farmland, with rolling hills, challenging terrain and stunning rural views.
With something for a range of ages and fitness levels, participants can choose from:

● 8km: Walk, trail run or mountain bike.
● 21km: A more challenging trail run or mountain bike course.

Whether you're an experienced athlete looking for your next challenge or simply keen to enjoy
the outdoors with friends and family, Rugged Raukawa is all about getting involved and having a
great time.

More than just an adventure.
At its heart, Rugged Raukawa is a community fundraiser, with proceeds supporting the upkeep
and maintenance of the Raukawa Community Hall.

Built in 1951, the hall has been a gathering place for generations of local families, hosting
celebrations, community events and countless special occasions. Funds raised through Rugged
Raukawa help ensure this important rural facility can continue to serve the community for years
to come.
