Shopping in Wairoa and winning

Nigel How

Shopping locally meant winning locally for Mere Whaanga, the winner of last week’s Shop and Win in Wairoa promotion.

The competition is part of the Wairoa District Council Tautoko Wairoa Buy Local campaign with a total of 2,681 receipts, equating to more than $80,000 worth of purchases, having been entered since the campaign began in June.

To enter, just spend $30 or more at a participating store, write your name and phone number on the back of your receipt and drop it in the entry box.

Every week a draw will be held, and one lucky shopper will have a chance to win a $100 credit to spend at a participating store.

There is no limit on the entries per person. The more entries the more chances to win.

Mere’s purchase was from the Wairoa Star and she intends to also use her voucher at the Wairoa Star.

The Shop and Win promotion runs until the end of August so get shopping Wairoa.
