Final Tautoko Wairoa

Tautoko

The final week of the Tautoko Wairoa Buy Local and Win promotion saw Liz Kirwan who shopped at Petite Fleur win $100.

The final week saw 553 entries from a local spend of $51,460.71.

Wairoa District Council chief executive officer Kitea Tipuna thanked everyone who participated in this campaign by shopping locally.

“Over the duration of the competition around 2800 entries were lodged representing a spend of about quarter of a million dollars.

“This campaign focussed on retail and health and beauty stores and was open to everyone who spent $30 or more at participating businesses with their name then going into the draw to win $100 in local shopping vouchers

“It is great to see people buying locally as local spending sees dollars recirculated throughout our district which keeps our economy ticking.

“Christmas is only a few weeks away and I encourage people to call into our local stores and check out their range of gifts.”

The promotion is part of the Wairoa District Council Tautoko Wairoa Buy Local Campaign to encourage people to shop and buy locally.
