It’s all happening at the library these school holidays.

From free Hell pizzas and book author readings to colouring and crafts - the Wairoa Library is the place to be.

A Halloween theme will set the scene with activities planned from September 28 to October 9 with a range of fun including a partnership with the Hell Reading Challenge

The challenge is a well-established programme that has been hugely successful in getting tamariki reading and enjoying the pleasures of stories — with the bonus of free pizza rewards!

The HELL Reading Challenge has hooked many reluctant readers into books. Tamariki receive a stamp on their pizza wheel for each book they read, and once they have read seven books, they can exchange their completed wheel for a free 333 kids’ pizza at HELL. Over the two-week school holiday period, there will be a range of activities with special super guest Frank the Dog, who will be visiting for story of the third book in the Chopper and Frank collection, written by author Sarah Charteris.
