					The Wairoa District Council will be holding a series of hui-a-takiwā to explain the selection process for the Māori Standing Committee over the coming weeks.
The Wairoa District is grouped into eight takiwā. A takiwā is made up of a group of marae as defined by Council. Each takiwā will be responsible for selecting ONE representative for the Māori Standing Committee.
The following is a schedule for the hui-a-takiwā:

On Sunday, 13 December 2020 at 1.00 pm a hui-ā-iwi will be hosted by Taihoa Marae where all eight representatives will be presented by their takiwā to become members of the Wairoa District Council Māori Standing Committee.
