Finance Manager

FINANCE MANAGER

As a result of a pending retirement and a resignation, the Wairoa District Council finds itself in need of a new Senior Finance Team.

The position of Finance Manager requires an energetic, motivated, individual with accounting qualifications. Local Government experience would be an advantage but is not essential.

Finance Manager

Requires ACA and five (5) years relevant experience
Will have a high level of delegated authority to manage Council’s finances, accounting and investments.

Building Control Administration Officer

BUILDING CONTROL ADMINISTRATION OFFICER

The Wairoa District Council is seeking a suitably qualified person to take up the position of Building Control Administration Officer.

This position is focused on the administration of the Building Act and to ensure Council discharges all of its obligations and responsibilities as a Building Consent Authority.

Successful applicants will:

Have proven knowledge and experience using computer software packages, specifically word processing, database and flow chart programmes.
Provide excellent customer service
Communicate understanding and working knowledge of building industry and related technical issues effectively.
Communicate professionally both in writing and verbally.
Be a supportive, productive and positive team member.
Assist with internal audits and quality assurance system.

In return, Wairoa District Council will offer a competitive salary, a positive progressive work environment and you will be supported by dedicated staff. Final hours to be negotiated with successful candidate. Minimum of 30 per week.
